Utility of the fan

In every house, when the summer approaches, the first fans start to appear. The oscillating fan, as everybody knows, is that appliance able to generate with the movement of its blades, small or large, a nice breeze, especially in confined spaces. With its operation the oscillating fan creates air movement that can give you relief when it's hot.

Today it is still the easiest and most economical means anti-hot and in many situations it is preferable to an air conditioner

The operation of the fan is much simpler than that of the air conditioner, the first fact is constituted by a device with rotating blades which, activated by a motor, simply move the air, generating a current that facilitates the evaporation of water, lowering in this way the humidity level, without changing the temperature, as is the case with the air conditioner.

The oscillating fans can therefore be defined as an environmentally friendly solution when we feel the need to freshen up a room.


Even in terms of consumption we should choose to use a fan, as this consumes an average of 50 watts, fifteen times less than the consumption of an air conditioner.

Type of oscillating fans

The wide diffusion of this appliance, led to an evolution and differentiation in the technological field, there are in fact fans for every need in terms of both cost and performance and design. The companies on the market are many such as the company Vortex that offers a wide range of fans for all kind of needs, from portable ones to those that can be applied on the ceiling. Regarding the portable oscillating fans, there are those oscillating for the table, column and wall that the company produces under the name Vortex series Gordon.

The wall models do not have power cables, all the wires are usually inserted inside the wall, but are equipped with a remote control to operate on, off, speed, oscillation, breezes, timer.

The available diameters are variable, they typically range from 30 to 40 cm for all models and are available in light gray and black.
The material are carried on with these fans is a special shock-resistant thermoplastic resin, to provide greater durability. Furthermore, the single fan has a removable protective grid, so as to allow also an easy cleaning.
The oscillating fan head tilts and swivels and you can choose between 3 operation speeds. The rotation is 90°.

Regarding the column models, these have an extensible rod, which varies its length from a minimum of 1.48 m and a maximum of 1.80 m, they also have a power wire of 3 m, unlike table models, which instead have a power cable of 1.8 m.

Due to their small size, also its cost is not excessive, it is used in small environments that require ventilation and within which it is not possible to adopt any other cooling system.
