Flowers and plants are an element of great use for gardens, terraces and open spaces in general, but also for the inside of the house.
These have undoubtedly a utilitarian function, because they help improving the atmosphere, producing coolness and the right balance of moisture and also an important function to ensure the right privacy or delimit spaces in a clear but not heavy way.
But undoubtedly what is immediately obvious are their aesthetic values and qualities and a sense of joy that gives beauty to the spaces where they are placed.
Without detracting from the charm of the various plant species, sometimes a striking aesthetic impact is due to their own containers, pots for flowers or real planters, depending on the size of the plant.
The design proposes countless variations and types, designed as much for the garden and outdoor spaces of the house, and for the interiors.
It is significantly called Primavera (Spring) the outdoor pot designed for Serralunga by Eero Arnio, which reminds as this is the season of the year he prefers and why he chose this name.
The Finnish designer also claims to favor a basic and essential design, made of elementary forms, including the sphere and the tube. These are precisely the shapes that have been used to create this cup-shaped pot.
Eero Arnio is one of the main protagonists of the current design and his magnitude is perhaps the remarkable simplicity and naturalness, expressed also in the way it describes this creation designed for Serralunga.
The pot after all is nothing but a great and simple cup, so spontaneous in its design, that one wonders why it had not yet been used for other creations of pots.
The sculptural form of the pot Primavera is also a tribute to the tradition of production company from Biella.
As we said, pots and flower boxes can also be used for furnishing, for example with the function of partition spaces. That's what happens with jars Green Pedestals designed by Front for Offect.
The pots have different sizes, so some have the perfect height to be placed next to a desk, others to be placed near a window or a seat. These are the measures available: 250 x 800, h 720 mm; 250 x 1200, h 620 mm; Ø 500, h 420 mm; Ø 500, h 430 mm; Ø 500, h 450 mm.
In addition to the round models you can add a seat or a table.
The planter Front plant by Karl Andersson & Söner was born on the design by Skala Design, of the designers Lasse Pettersson and Lennart Notman, from the concept of Front.
The latter is a system on a wall or freestanding storage, where you can show and hang newspapers, magazines, books, pictures, letters, postcards, posters, notices and brochures, or bulletin board for posts or messages, but also clothes, or use it to floral decorations on walls, tables, etc.
Since this project was born the version planter, 500 mm long, proposed in the white version and in the transparent one.
The glass pot has a top thickness of 98 mm, used to hang it on the wall or place it on a table. Indeed, Front plant is used for decoration of walls or as a base for other decorative panels.
These include windows frames, hangers, message boards, panels, shelves, panels and freestanding flexible screens, all available in oak, birch or other eight standard colors.
Are available as accessories a water level indicator and a pumice stone, gray or red rust.
One of the recurring problems of ornamental pots, however, is to be rather heavy to move from side to side. So, to answer the question, Dirk Wynants, designed for Extremis, a large fiberglass cube-shaped planter, with a movable base.
Alea is the optimal solution to the problem because the base with wheels remains hidden.
The inner part, where the plant is placed is made in plastic and rests on a galvanized base.
The outer part, however, in fiber glass is rolled over the plant and the base to cover them.
To move the planter the outer part is raised of about 20 cm and is rotated by 45°, in this way the wheels are released and you can move the entire planter. To lock it again, repeat the process in reverse.
The planter is available in two sizes: 52 x 52 cm and 90 x 90 cm; in five different colors, white, black, ivory, gray-beige and red.
