The Salone del Mobile 2014 has been the occasion, among many others, to see the trends for the living area: living room expands, it takes character and defines precisely the style of your home.

In fact it is the first environment that presents itself to the visitor: in it we host friends and family, organize dinners, we relax in front of the TV or a fireplace.
And it is precisely the relaxation area, consisting of sofas and armchairs that we analyze.

How has the shape of our living rooms changed over the years? What are the trends in the field of upholstered seats?

Definitely taking care of our body during the few moments of relaxation that we are able to grant to ourselves has become an absolute prerogative for designers and companies in the sector: here, then, the materials and structures are used in order to achieve a sitting position to conform perfectly to the body of the user, without losing sight of the aesthetic.

In this regard, a widespread trend of the present moment, is the creation of chairs and seats with high back, upholstered in leather or fabric, shaped in such a way as to wrap the body in a perfect manner, furnishing and characterizing, at the same time, the environment.

They are padded, hand-crafted, quilted, high headboards act as a real structure for sofas and armchairs of contemporary style.

Il Loft, an Italian company located in Gallarate, on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile, presented a collection of components for the furniture of the living based on soft lines, warm fabrics, colors in apparent contrast between them but perfectly mixed and the result is the creating of a very warm and relaxing object. With the signature of Giorgio Saporiti.

Among all the elements presented stand out individual seats that can wrap the guest with their shape and materials: most of all the Tulip seat, an armchair in tubular metal with a high backseat padded and divided into groups, just to form the petals of a flower.
There are several variations available, adaptable in many different environments: in black leather or red fabric, white or colored floral with tubular light blue, gray or black.

Also Vitra, a historic Swiss company, has exhibited at the Salone: news, reprints, variants, many products were on display all characterized by dynamism, innovation and freshness, the result of a thorough research on materials and colors used for new creations and new editions of the great classics.
The company was created in 2006, by the hands of Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, a product able to build a space within a room: it's Alcove, sofa with one, two or four-seats with high backseat and side panels, available in different colors. Your privacy is guaranteed in it.

Remaining on the subject, for the Salone del Mobile, the company presented a sofa whose elegance resides both in form and color variations presented: Mariposa Sofa by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby is a very comfortable seat, whose individual elements, back seat and high lateral structure can be folded as required so as to ensure a personalized comfort according to the needs of every person.

Finally, a very singular achievement of TWILS that turns the backseat into a customizable and useful element in the definition of the space.
The company presented its collection Set, result of careful research on modular and versatile elements both for the living and for the sleeping area.
