Twist is a seat by Tonon Italian designed by Stefan Heiliger, a Berliner designer who, in the sixties and seventies has worked with Mercedes Benz and is now a professor at the University of Offenbach.

We find the same delicate and sinuous lines in the chaise longue Nouvelle Vague of Leek which was staged at the prestigious Cooper-Hewitt National Museum of Design in New York until the 7th of September 2009.

The occasion was triggered by the Fashioning Felt exhibition, organized by Susan Brown to celebrate the new uses of felt, an ancient and versatile material.
The exhibition started from the historical and traditional uses of the material to get to the latest innovations that have led to its use in the fields of fashion, architecture and interior design.

In particular, for the exhibition has been selected the special version of the chaise longue Nouvelle Vague, originally designed by Christophe Pillet, made with a coating of thick gray felt. The version is part of Material House, a collection designed in 2007 by Piero Lissoni, who has customized thourgh hand-made applications, the most representative pieces of the Porro catalog.

The shape of the seat is that of an S, absolutely essential. It's made by rotational molding of thermoplastic material, in matt colors carried in bulk or in glossy lacquers, available in different colors.

The session is completed with an oval pouf, which can also stand alone as a pouf, and makes its using even more relaxing.
