New collections of exclusive lamps and lightings

The world of lamps is continuously enriched by new, original and exclusive collections of products that will not disappoint fans of the furniture design.

The choice of patterns is very wide, depending on the type (surface, pendant, table), of the materials and the type of lighting. Let's see some new lines recently proposed in the context of major international exhibitions, such as Euroluce 2013.

New lamps retro-looking

They are called 3Angle, Ufo60, Drop and Botte: the lamps are designed and produced by Alberto Crucitti, founder of the brand Psykea , born from the passion for design from the fifties to the early seventies. The collection Psykea was born primarily as a tribute to the designers of the time, and who have conceived and analyzed the forms of many vintage lamps, the color palettes used in those years in furniture, materials, assembly techniques, even the type of cables used then.

The company's goal is to propose today updated lamps in the technical aspects, which provide optimal performance, in terms of safety and efficiency, thanks to the components offered by the current market, but absolutely faithful to the originals.

To obtain a high quality product Psykea turned to a glassware artisan Tuscan, able to create blown objects, thanks to the use of cast iron molds, glass jacketed four layers: the first, transparent and shiny, protects the external surface, and the second for the color, the third, usually white opal, to diffuse the light in a blurry way and finally the fourth, transparent, protects the inside.

3Angle, Ufo60, Goccia and Botte are thus not simply a new edition of an existing product: the lamps designed and produced by Alberto Crucitti, are the result of a long-time passion for the design of the '50 to '70 and a constant attention to experimentation.

Range of lamps to suit all tastes

Marchetti Lighting presented at Salone del Mobile 2013 during Euroluce, an interesting set of new models.

Hoplà is a collection of wall lamps characterized by an original and innovative design, able to create a particular atmosphere, with an effect of lights. Hoplà comes with metal elements assembled by means of a game of shapes that give an almost unstable aspect, as if it was about to fall. LED lighting offers to Hoplà a high level of luminous efficiency and energy saving. The colors available are white, matte black, chrome and corten steel.

Mikado is a ceiling lamp white and with an unusual design: it shows a series of tubes at 360°, thus ensuring the maximum versatility of use. The lighting can be addressed with a few movements in any direction and with the ability to create many lighting effects, for total personalization.

Random is a suspension made of a metal foil, machined with an innovative concentric bending, which is able to confer a woven aspect with an effect similar to lace, to give greater volume and movement to the lamp, Random was made with crystal pendants, and is available in nickel and antique gold.

Puppet is a hanging lamp with LED technology, consisting of three square elements that intersect with each other, giving out a modern and simple aspect at the same time. Puppet is available in shades of white, matte black, chrome and corten steel.

At the forefront, as is its name, it is Avantgarde: it is an object of design able to impose its influence on furniture in any room. The classic shapes shine in movements and lines, but they remain almost hidden by the modernity of color and lacquer finishes. The purity of the white milk, the uniqueness of the shape and the effect of light give to this lamp a personal and avant-garde stamp. The lamp is available in two sizes: diameter 70 cm (5 lights) and a diameter of 110 cm (10 lights).

The suspension Retro, finally, is a lamp characterized by a classic look, nuanced by a combination of clean lines and spherical bulbs, which make it absolutely modern. Retro is available in lacquer finish in black and in two sizes (5 or 10 lights).
