A lamp with shade, regardless of its placement, is characterized by a base, a supporting structure and a diffuser beneath which hides the light source; therefore, you can choose materials and finishes of all components, customizing the item according to your needs.

The first product we present is Grus by Lumen Center Italy; it is a floor lamp designed by Alberto Saggia and Valerio Sommella, it is inspired by the lightness of the crane and the brightness of the constellation in which they were named after.



The stand with a light point decentralized, the slender and angular geometric structure, is made metal sheet cut, bent and finally welded, and has a slight but, at the same time, statically solid. The finishes are available in pearl gray or graphite gray.

The supporting structure is composed of two parts, one pivoted on the other, and allows the height adjustment of the fabric diffuser, available in ruby red, cognac and sage, below which the light source, enclosed between two opal discs that filter and diffuse the light, creates a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere.

The stability is also ensured by the presence of a metal cable fixed thanks to a system adjusted to the base, a rhomboid metal plate which balances the weight of the long arm with diffuser. The lamp has a height of 151 cm and the lampshade of 60 cm diameter.

In addition to the tissue it is also possible to use other materials for the lampshade: the important thing is that they are able to filter the light produced.



In this regard Lasvit proposes Polygon, the work of designer Jan Plech and Henry Wielgus is a ceiling lamp with shade in blown glass, the result of the combination between the traditional craftsmanship of the glass artisans and the modern 3D modeling programs.
Thanks to the polygonal network imprinted on the surface during the day, the light is reflected on the matte surface, while at night, the light produced sports geometric patterns that mark it. The diameter of the lampshade is 22 cm.



Glass is always the diffuser of Lumiere, a classic by Foscarini designed in 1990 by Rodolfo Dordoni: at Euroluce and for his twenty-fifth birthday, the table lamp Lumiere comes in new unpublished colors. A new nuance for the base, also available in color champagne, approach three new colors for the diffuser: warm white, cherry and turquoise. In addition, a particular treatment on the inside of the diffuser makes the light even warmer, emphasizing the charm of glass blowing.

The presence of a lampshade in materials different from fabric is recommended especially in the kitchen, environment in which, given the spread of odors and vapors, the fabric could be subject to more rapid deterioration.
