The blinds are characterized by a vertical scrolling, instead of horizontally: the fabric is folded back on itself thanks to the control wires, which allow you to determine the height to block them. These structures are very practical and can save space compared to traditional tents, personalizing environments with original and varied fabric.

Smooth or wrinkled, simple or with slats that increase the tidy effect, the blinds can be adapted to any type of furniture, from the classic to the more modern solutions. Their versatility allows you to use them almost anywhere: they can be fixed to the ceiling, wall or directly to the shutter of the window or door to be covered.

You may be led to think that, just as the structure that characterizes these curtains, also the style is only suitable for contemporary environments. Blinds in glass

The blinds in glass are one of the most practical solutions, although not always the most scenic.

The models in glass, being directly fixed to the leaf of the door or window, allow the opening of the frames at any time, without the need to curl the fabric to prevent the door to snag against.

The curtains can in each case be adjusted to different heights, so as to enjoy every moment of the day the best possible illumination.

The only drawback of these practices is that the curtains are not recommended if, what you are looking for is an element of great visual impact, able also to hide some small defect, such as an old box or an old radiator.

The correct installation of blinds is simple: with a little attention operations can be carried comfortably on their own.

You start by placing the pieces to the wall or to the frame. These plugs will host the supports for the rod, which will be assured to them with Velcro.

At this point you need to run wires inside the machine locking and the eyelets of the rod, to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.

It thus comes to assembling the tent, routing the cables inside the support on the fabric. The wires must then be bound by the counterweight, which will be positioned using the appropriate support on curtains.
Now, if all the steps are carried out correctly, you can attach the tent at the desired height.

Sew the blinds

For lovers of DIY, the choice of curtains can be limited to the identification of textures and fabrics, and then focused on the realization of autonomy tailored draperies. Sewing blinds is easier than you might think and the end result is impressive.

First you need to take measures, considering at least 3 cm wide in more than necessary in order to properly carry out the seams.

In addition to the fabric needed for the exposed part of the curtain, it will also select a fabric-like, or contrasting color, which will be sewn to the lining below.

Once all the parts cut to size, the curtain and the lining will be sewn together, taking care to keep the right of both exposed to the outside. To do so that the tent is perfectly tense, this can realize a small pocket along the bottom edge, which put a rod that will act as a weight.

Along the vertical sides of the tent are then sewn rings within which slide the wires to the smooth operation of the locking system. At this point it only remains to sewing, on the back of the upper edge of the curtain, the Velcro strip that allow the correct anchoring to the rod: the curtain is now ready to be put up.
