A place in the sun, but this is not a television program, but rather a framework on the blue.
I have been in a place where the sky and the sea meet. Drawing the private access to the sea, in a villa of Mediterranean character. Which extends in three terraces on staggered levels: the outdoor living-dining area, the solarium, and finally the shore, where the waves break on the golden sands.
Imagine then we dive into the blue of this place, certainly very privileged because, quoting Leopardi, happiness consists in a foretaste of the happiness itself with the desire to taste it because really - according to the great poet - is not allowed to men.
In my design, the graphic representation of the private access to the sea, of a distinctly Mediterranean-style villa: the exterior of which is characterized by three staggered levels of terracing. On the right side of the representation, we can see part of the main staircase of the house, protected by two partitions of masonry, in candid white lime.
A few steps back towards the terrace on the right, facing the sea: that assumes the function of solarium, where we see the sun beds.
While a few steps on the left lead to the upper terrace, visible in the foreground, which houses the dining area from the outside. Continuing the descent, some steps lead directly to the third level, which is given by the magical beach of golden sand.
Here framed the path that leads us directly to the intermediate level, as height is defined, which is used as a sun terrace facing the beach: like a fjord overlooking the blue sky and the sea.
The walls that protect both the location of the staircase, the dining areas and sun terraces are finished on the top in Tuscan terracotta, with bull perimeter.
The outdoor terracotta is a natural material, highly resistant in itself, to changes in temperature and weather; but in addition it can be treated, or hydrophobized, in order to make it impermeable to rainwater.
The floors of the trenches and of the solarium, are planks of iroko wood, Latin name Chlorophora excelsa, a deciduous wood, native to the forests of equatorial Africa. Essence with characteristics of high hardness and stability; defined as wood fat, namely water-repellent, then already of its water resistant.
But for outdoor use, it is always advisable to also treat the iroko, with impregnating substances, in order to make it more durable to the elements, preserving the natural beauty of the grain.
Complimentary sun loungers, choosing among the many companies in the Made in Italy, as the Ethimo, a specialist in outdoor furniture. Sun beds in teakwood, reinterpreted by me with mattresses in blue & white, to enjoy priceless moments of relaxation in the sun all immersed in the blue.
On the foreground lanterns candle holders, glass and metal painted in bright colors; they will be used in the evening hours, to give light to various areas. A lantern in the background, at the corner of the solarium, to feature the perimeter of the terrace, as a firelight in the night.
Here's the beach, the most coveted of the three terraces, I mentioned above: the level of the sea, the finish of desires. I pictured a small bay, an inlet with stretches of sandy beach, and features more jagged, rocky forest and Mediterranean; a barrier of rocks acts as the boundary with the adjacent property.
The extensive shoreline, the line along which the wave, literally takes over the beach and has three bamboo mats: comfortable to lie in the sun on the shore, after an invigorating bath. Listening only to the pleasant sound of the sea, the magic crashing of the waves, lapping the bodies exposed to the scorching sun.
We're back at the highest level terrace with sea view, combined living-dining outdoor. After a day on the beach, and in the sun, pampered by the waves and the rays of the sun: nothing better than a nice dinner on the terrace, in the company of friends.
A terrace in a quadrangular shape, with bench horseshoe in masonry on which large cushions covered with fresh washable fabric, in shades of white and blue: they assume the function of seat and back, to comfortably accommodate guests. Such oversized pillows can be found at the large-scale distribution, or such companies like Dedon.
On the left side, a fence of wooden horizontal planks, to act as a windbreak: to protect this quaint dining out, outdoor dining area, ie, by sea currents.
The lemon tree gives its juicy fruits to the table: a square shape, in strips of wood, straw mats laden with colorful, comfortable and wooden bowls. Where you can taste seasonal products to satisfy your appetite, and quench your body dehydrated, after hours spent in the sun.
In the foreground, the colorful portable lanterns can be purchased at various companies, including Zanet Garden; such characteristics lamps, can be positioned at will, to illuminate and perfuming, the various terraced areas of this summer outdoor. Where you can enjoy the holiday as in a dream, in contact with the natural beauty.
