The towel warmers are the evolution of the classic radiator in the bathroom, they play a triple role. Let's analyze them with precision.

First, they act as a heating system as real radiators: while the classic radiators had, and still have in many houses, a cast iron frame and are positioned below the thresholds of windows or are relegated in the corners so as not to clutter, today the towel warmers are placed freely within the environment due to its furnishing characteristics.

The second function, in fact, is precisely to furnish the space: the towel warmer, in different shapes and sizes, used, like other elements, such as a piece of furniture in the bathroom.

The third function, from which comes the name, is linked to the possibility of ensconce linens and towels: in this way, making the most of space often very reduced, it is possible to give up the classic towel rails thanks to the presence of the radiator which, with the heat emanated dries and holds the wipes ready for use.

Operation of towel warmers

The operation is similar to that of the traditional radiators, ie hydraulic, electric or mixed: in the first case the radiator is connected to the existing heating system and, through the irradiation, the structure, composed of tubular or flat elements where the fluid flows, is warmed up: the wider the radiating surface, the greater the thermal efficiency.
The sizing is clearly related to the width of the environment: to calculate then the number and the size of the radiating elements is necessary to rely on the calculation of a heating engineer.

If instead there is no possibility to connect it, under renovation, to the water system, you can install an electric model: the operation of these devices is done using a special heat transfer fluid, an electric heating element and a safety thermostat.

In the market there are models that fit any need: they can be connected to the heating system, or self and electrically powered, although the most common are with mixed operation, they can be installed on a wall or as room dividers.
